Here in this land, where the land and sea meets, fog comes and goes. And so it is with our minds as well.

This original is a 12x9 pastel on archival paper. The inspiration for the image is of no place in particular, just the many points I have visited here on the Monterey Peninsula in California. I had no intentions when I sat down, but soon after playing with colors the image began to arise. The work is stored with a backing and in a sleeve. Fixative layers have been applied, yet there is always residual flaking.
